Thoughts

I’ve known Paul since I was very small. We used to see him and Susan when we came down to visit my Auntee Renee and Uncle Bill who lived opposite and were great friends and neighbours with Molly and Derek. We would meet up at all the family celebrations. An avid football supporter he came up to stay with us in Newcastle and we have fond memories of hanging out at the metrocentre. (It was Paul that introduced me to the Beach Boys I thought it was very cool as he was 10 years older than me and I was in awe!) We stayed in touch when I came down to Bournemouth uni and met up when we could. He was like family. I know Auntee Renee considered him a grandson they never had, always Kind , caring and thinking of others. We can’t believe you were taken so soon Paul. But know that you were loved by so many. Sorry I can’t be there to say goodbye. Rest in peace my lovely and we are thinking of Julie and Susan and all the family today ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I met Paul when I was just a child, he lived opposite my Great Auntie Rennie in Hove who we used to visit. I'll always remember when Paul came to visit us to watch Brighton v Newcastle at St James Pk, he was so excited. But he still took the time to take my sister and I to the cinema in his new MG Maestro which he was so proud of! Unfortunately when we left the cinema we returned to the car to find it had gone, it had been stolen! Even to this day I remember how he reacted, so layed back and calm. I will also remember Paul for how interested he was in people, his caring nature and how he looked after my Great Auntie Renee. I send all my condolences to the family at this difficult time and will be thinking of you all, especially today. Rest in Peace Paul. Marcus
